Spring 2019 Classes at Little Flower

We are gearing up for our Spring 2019 Session which is right around the corner, beginning the week of March 4. In order to receive the early registration rate, registrations and payments need to be received by Friday, February 22.

Below are the class descriptions, dates, details, and registration information for classes at Blessed Sacrament. Please review the registration instructions and program information for your child’s school in order to register your student athlete.

Important Notes about Classes:
What your child should bring to class each week…
-water bottle
-snack to eat before class
-change of clothes (if necessary based on activity or weather). There is no specific required clothing. This is up to your discretion.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION FOR CLASSES AT LITTLE FLOWER

Early registrations AND payments must be received by Friday, February 22, for the early registration rate to apply.

If you have more than one child participating in the same activity, you can save time when registering by typing your children’s first names in the “First Name” template of the registration form. This way, only one form will need to be filled out per activity. Likewise, if you have a child who would like to participate in more than one activity, you can type the various activities in the “Activity” template.

SPRING 2019 ACTIVITIES AT LITTLE FLOWER

LACROSSE

Our athletes will review the techniques of the game through drills and scrimmages.

Boys and Girls Grades K-3
All equipment for this class is provided.
Dates and Location: 11 Classes, Mondays 3:00pm-4:00pm, in the Gym

We will meet on the Quad after school and have class in the Gym. You can pick you child up on the Quad at 4pm. If available, we might move the class to the field.
Cost: $230 for registrations and payments received by February 22, $250 if registrations and payments are received after February 22.

YARNBALL (BASEBALL SKILLS)

Wiffle balls, tennis balls and dense yarn balls will be used for throwing, catching, fielding, hitting, etc., depending on the activity. Our goal is to improve hand-eye coordination, base running, as well as teach proper fundamentals such as using two hands when catching and fielding the ball. We will also introduce and reinforce baseball rules to the kids.

Equipment: Students have the option of bringing gloves.

IRISH DANCE

This will be an introductory class taught by John Morgan of the McGrath Academy of Irish Dance.  Here are some of John’s accolades:

  • TCRG: Accredited Irish dance teacher with the Irish Dance Commission in Dublin, Ireland
  • Great Britain, British Nationals and All Scotlands Champion, Top 3 World Champion
  • Former Lord of the Dance

Personal Training for Adults and Youth
In addition to working with the schools in the area, I have provided fitness and sports training to individuals (ages 3 through 88) for the past fifteen years.  I can train you and/or the members of your family in your home, local park, or at the Lawton, Wisconsin Place, and Coffield Community Centers.  So whether your goals are general health, sports-related, or rehabilitating an injury, I welcome the opportunity to work with you, or members of your family.  Please contact me for further information.
